This is just one of many developments being proposed on Eglinton and along the Marlee corridor. Given the proximity to subway stations, several high-density projects are being proposed within Major Transit Station Areas (MTSAs), which encourage growth and density within walking distance of rapid transit.
2004-2008 Bathurst Street

Audax for Orchard West Real Estate Group is proposing a 17-storey mixed-used condominium building on Bathurst Street, south of Eglinton, replacing three, 2-storey buildings.
This is the latest development at Bathurst & Eglinton alongside the 17-storey Forest Hill condos by Centrecourt at the SW corner of Bathurst & Eglinton and the Rhodes, 8-storey boutique condo by Blackdoor just south of the intersection.

The LRT is expected to open this year. Eglinton will continue to see new development popping up along the corridor, due to proximity to transit. Development will bring energy and renewal to the community, but we must stay informed and be mindful of what’s happening.
Developers look at precedent decisions as a base for new proposals, but local residents and businesses always have a chance to sit down with developers and city staff to discuss aspects that are important to the neighbourhood such as vibrant retail and services, beautiful public spaces, and access to parking.
